Classes & Projects

Classes at City School focus on real-world knowledge and skills. Students attend four core academic classes all year: Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science.

We offer a variety of "Flex" elective classes each morning, which students attend for six-week sessions. In the afternoons, we have a multi-age Team class, during which students mentor each other and enjoy group activities.

We run CityEscape the last hour of each day, when students perform their jobs and City School's different departments and components come to life.

Our classes aren't like those offered at most other schools.  Our teaching practices focus on providing unique opportunites to students.  From Project-Based Learning to Service Learning, we help kids learn to see the big picture and make a difference in their community.
